Life Changes

Fast forward 18 months and here is Yvette, out of Grace. She is sold, but still boarded here on the ranch.

And this is Rosey all growd up. She sold to a lady up northern Ontario. We miss her cuteness. She ended up being a pocket-pony; very friendly, but with a mind of her own! : )

Above is Yukon. We still have him because my husband decided he would be his horse. He is soon to be gelded and is a big boy! Big and beautiful! Look at that mane and tail at only 15 months old!
We since found a buddy for him...and me ; ), see below;

Meet; I'm a Rowdy Rock Star! My first mini! I am very excited about my new endevour.

You see...some dreams die hard. Since my last post, my health has deteriorated to such a point that I have trouble using my arms and hands. I have 'Degenerative Disc Disease' which is now at a 'moderate' level. I have to take medications for pain and for inflamation or I suffer and loose feeling in my hands, left arm and feet. It is progressive and doctors don't have any answers for me. I used to joke that one day I would end up in a wheel chair. Words of advice; DON'T EVER SAY THAT ABOUT YOURSELF!

Anyhow, we sold most of our horses except we now have Rocky, Yukon and Grace. I can still handle the little miniature horses and hope to one day raise and train them for driving and showing in-hand.
Some dreams die hard.

We sold our fabulous Prince to a great lady down in Florida. She is now working with him to start his career in Dressage. He has 24Hr care and we can actually check in on his stall and pasture live cameras whenever we like! So we get to watch him play and grow and evolve into the incredible white stallion we know he will be!

Here is a photo of Prince just before he left us at 3 years of age;

And a more recent photo of him in Florida;

Just six months later! He is developing his crest and muscling up awesome! Our little Prince will soon be pure white and magnificent! We are so thankful he went to such a great home with knowledgable people. You can see one of her 3 Lipizzan stallions trotting along the fence with Prince.

So our crossbred idea of crossing the Lipizzan with the Canadian horse has come to a close.
Kika and Breeze went on to a great home near Owen Sound together! Kika is now learning dressage and jumping! Breeze is babysitting the owner's young girls, which they like to be led around on Breeze's back! She was alwas such a docile girl...but we have since learned she will also be a big jumper!

Stay tuned for more adventures with horses on Ecbatana!
